Guild Meetings
Our youngest active member is 17 (started coming with her grandmother when
she was 12) and our oldest active member is 90. :-)) I, also, was a little worried that it would be a group of "experts" who would be very concerned about technique and how things "should" be done. We are exactly that! Some of us are experts and some of us are concerned about technique and ALL of us have fun stitching the way we want to stitch. As one of the stitchers is fond of reminding us: "It ain't the Mona Lisa, Honey" :-)) There is a time to be obsessive and a time to just have fun with our stitching. :-))) Liz from Humbug Southern Oregon Stitchers My biggest fear of the one I finally did go to was that an old farm woman my age (72) would be out of place and that the women of the guild would be sorta stuck-up and with an attitude. But I'm happy to say I was very wrong. They are plain people like me. Go and have a really good time. Frances Take Jacques out before replying. -- |
