Making telescope mirrors

I just ran across mention of a website in rec.crafts.metalworking and
thought someone here might enjoy looking at it. Here's a guy making
his own telescope, grinding the mirrors with a homemade machine made
of an old boat winch. The website is http://lerch.no-ip.com/atm/
Pretty amazing. The metalworking group is also a pretty amazing bunch
of people.

You want to have a look, the guys name is James Lerch and the site is
kosher. Looks like he does all sorts of interesting stuff as he posts on
rcm often.
