Default OT - the Olympics are great, but....

Seems like all I can ever catch on t.v. is the swimming. I really
appreciate the strength, competitiveness, and effort that goes into this
event. I really do. But - I'm getting disappointed to be just watching
only swimming! Does anybody know when, or IF, I can catch some equestrian
events? Or white-water events? Or men racing on a track instead of in the
pool? Thanks! Back to the cutting board for now.

White water is on today. Gymnastics tonight. I think Track and Field
events are next week.

youi can check out the TV coverage schedule at www.nbcolympics.com

You can even go to the TV Listing page and there is a link to search for all
scheduling for a specific sport.

Okay, I found it. What time zone do those t.v. times refer to?

Karen, Queen of Squishies
very confusing if you ask me

I'm guessing it's Eastern Karen. But check the NBC prime time listings.
Here in the Midwest it's between 7 and 11.
Yup, those are Eastern times. I see what you mean about it being rather
confusing. It's a very "busy" website. It would be a lot clearer if they
had just put ET behind the time listings. I wasn't all that excited about
the Olympics before it started...didn't watch the opening ceremonies either.
But the TV is pretty much on all the time when they're on. Go figure.

You've already gotten some great pointers, so I won't repeat them. What
I want to say is, I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't all that
interested in swimming. I appreciate all the athleticism that goes into
it, but the visual interest is near zero for me. First they go this
way. Theeeennnnnn they turn around and go that way. Then they turn
around and go this way again. Then they turn around and go that way.
Zzzzzzzz....

Seriously, pick up this week's TV Guide for your local area if you can.
There's a very nice schedule of all the Olympic coverage before the
regular listings. You can watch the Olympics 24/7 if you get all 5 NBC
affiliates covering it. It's amazing.

Scroll to the bottom of the pages and it says "Update O-Zone preference".
You can select what state, and what channel you watch the olympics on and it
will customize the times for your station.

Actually the website schedule is pretty easy, once you get the hang of
it. Equestrian(my favorite) is mostly on Bravo in the AM.

Wonderful! Local times listed, in chronological order, events described -
now that's the way my brain likes to receive info. Thanks!

Bravo channel has some of the events that are not in prime time. The
Dressage was on Sunday, what a beautiful spectacle.
