OT - Laptop is sick

The computer I use every day (my laptop) is very sick, and probably dying.
I was going to back up all of my data today, and went to boot up, and it's
showing a blue screen and continually rebooting. Dh says he'll try to fix
it, but if he can't, we'll be paying someone to retrieve the data from the
hard drive and then reformatting...BLEH. Anyway, if I'm quieter than
normal, it's because of that.

I hope your DH can fix it, sweetie. No one wants to fork out the funds for

I know it....I keep crying....stupid blue screen of death. I don't think
I'll have that laptop much longer. DH says that he's willing to sacrifice
his share of our tax return to do whatever it takes for me to be mobile with
a laptop again. we may be looking at an entirely new system tomorrow.

I've almost forgotten what a blue-screen-of-death looks like
DH hates Windoze with a passion and the only reason he still
has boxes that run Windoze is because the isn't yet a Linux
equivalent for his answering machine software. Sympathies
on having computer problems, it really sucks.
