Default RCTQ "Amnesty" thread

Help!! I can't keep up! I've been away on vacation following a period
when I wasn't very active, but I want to know what I've missed by
deleting all those thousands of threads. I see that a few of the members
from a few years ago just started posted again, but good grief, I have
another 7,000 messages and still have to unpack. Is this totally off
the wall or totally tactless to request "amnesty" and for a brief
listing of what has been happening lately?

Hullo Kevin
I won't be able to give you a full account, as I only see a partial
list!!
(for one reason or another g)
Sounds as if you've looked at the 'I'm back' thread.
There have been quite a few newbies speaking up, one another chap - Ron.
Frank Reid amusingly put together a quilting frame for his wife - you
might remember his clever anecdotal style- and his questions about
sewing machines!
Jessamy and Melinda have had their babies. (both boys).
Lots of newbie questions.
And a great many threads with folk's pictures of their quilts. I think
they probably make up the majority (numerically).
There have also been some fun travelogues, from Sandi and Marcella among
others.
Oh and there is a recent thread about Roberta Horton and plaids!!
I'm sure you will get more from others!
It's good to see you back. Hullo to Stuartdog from me and my four
cats!!! (he'll love that g)

Nothing really important - except you got voted to send all us UK types
a quilt and a box of Godiva chocs...

Welcome home, Kevin. I have seen some posts that I wondered why you hadn't
chimed in to. And just how is the great plaid quilt coming? Polly

Did you miss the thread where we all accepted your very generous offer
to send us a yard each of our favorite fabrics?

Well, Kevin, you're too late to help solve everybody's quilting problems,
might be too late to get in the directory if you haven't yet, but if you
just send each and every one of us some good thoughts and pray a bit for our
continued well being and the health of our loved ones, you can go ahead and
delete all the posts. But you'd enjoy Frank's saga of assembling Grace. And
Ron de-lurked, so you might want to give him a little guy-type support.

One yard? I thought it was 2 yards and a couple of coordinating FQs?
Lynne in Toronto was volunteered to bring refreshements.
And as always we are going to ask LN to take the minutes of the meeting.

Make mine a 2 single beds--bottom floor with LOTS of 'storage stuff' for
our 'stash investment' please.
Butterfly (no need for a fridge--won't be having chocolate in our room)

Well, I suppose I had this coming. ;-) StuartDog is the most
inefficient wake up service I've ever known, as his snuggling up
inspires way too many hits of the snooze button.

Trying out my new system of just reading and replying whatever comes up
at the top of the list when I hit "refresh."
