Introducing Myself
Hello All,
I thought it was about time I introduced myself into this group as I have certainly popped my head in many times during the last few years. My name is Jill Matheson and I am a lampwork glass bead maker. I was selling my glass beads under the user ID of puff-md (now la.jill) on eBay for a couple of years. I am taking a break from the torch for a while and focusing on polymer clay. I've worked with polymer for about four years making small sculptures. I thought it would be easy to make beads out of the polymer - well, it's been fun, but I would not say it was easy! I am currently making disk/lentil shaped beads and it's fun until after the baking part of it - the sanding, buffing and polishing, not to mention drilling a hole side to side through a disk shaped object is pretty work intensive, as I am sure many of you already know. I look forward to being a part of the group - I will have questions and perhaps I will even have some answers. Bye for now, Jill |

Hi Jill, and welcome
I'm a recent clay-addict, still practicing making swirled lentils. I put holes in before baking, and have better luck with lentils than I've had with round beads, sometimes. Cheers, Carla Jill wrote: Hello All, I thought it was about time I introduced myself into this group as I have certainly popped my head in many times during the last few years. Welcome, Jill!! I've not worked with poly clay but have seen
several programs on the Carol Duvall show. They always make the holes before baking. Anna W. in Tx "Jill" wrote in message om...
