The show here opened today, and I was so surprised! I'd entered four
quilts, thinking that one particular one of them might have a chance at
a ribbon, but probably none. The one I thought had a chance didn't win.
*But*! Two others won second place ribbons! I'd never have thought
they'd win, since the quilting I'd done wasn't very good. One of them
was Circular Logic; scroll down a bit to see its pretty ribbon:

a paper-pieced one; again, scroll down a little:

CONGRATS!!! What a thrill! I love them all- all so different and unique.
I think Circular Logic is my fave of those three. But I always have loved
bright colors and always loved your beautiful quilts! Cool!

Well done, Sandy! I'm really glad you did well, because your work is
lovely (your quilting is enviable).
Don't feel too badly about the two that weren't placed - if you can
manage it - because I can tell you that I rarely see any of this kind of
work winning in shows I have been to over here. I simply cannot
understand it, as they are often so wonderful, It can't just be the
limited colour palette, because whole cloth quilts win a lot of times.
I agree with you about both your JR pieces, but I think some judges have
a way to go! At least you didn't come away empty-handed.

Congratulations Sandy. I've never entered anything in a show. It must be
a huge boost to win two ribbons. I love all of them, but I think
Circular Logic is the most striking.
