Happy Dancing!
Please join me in a happy dance! After 20 years with my current employer, I
am announcing my retirement! I hesitated to say anything about it - I guess I was afraid something would happen and I'd chicken out, but Friday is my last day and I'm so excited, I can hardly sit still. The last year or so has been pretty stressful - I've had to do a lot of evening and weekend work as the number of employees decreased and my workload increased. I enjoy the work, but it's time to move on before I totally burn out. My quilting (to keep this On Topic) has taken a back seat to work for too long now, and I'm ready for it to play a major role again. I'm looking forward to spending lots of hours with both my DSM and my longarm - hopefully I'll have some finished projects to share before long! Woo hoo!!!!! -- Louise in Iowa nieland1390@mchsi dot com http://community.webshots.com/user/louiseiniowa |

Happy Dancing!
You know Louise, the best thing I found about retirement. I wake very
early and make some coffee, put my robe and slippers on then go sit on my screened back porch to watch the world wake up. When's the last time you watched a sunrise. Kate T. South Mississippi |

Happy Dancing!
I'm hoping so, KJ. I told DH I was going to take a couple of weeks to just
decompress and try to get my shoulders to untighten! Then I might start acting like a civil human being again. Oh, I've got so much to do. I haven't done a thing with the fabric or little flower kits I bought on our last outing! And I haven't been to Kalona in so long, I don't know if I can find my way there again! You may have to drive! Louise "KJ" wrote in message ... On Aug 19, 6:49 pm, "Louise in Iowa" wrote: Please join me in a happy dance! Happy Dancing!
WONDERFUL! I've been saying for years that retirement is what I was
meant to do with my life! I like it much better than anything else I've ever done. On Wed, 19 Aug 2009 23:49:13 GMT, "Louise in Iowa" wrote: Please join me in a happy dance! Sit back a little and take time for you. Its so easy when you first
retire to get 'sucked' into commitments and end up over-whelmed. There seems so much time and new commitments seem small in comparison but they can easily take over your life and become just as time-consuming as a full time job and the fun side gets lost. Sally at the Seaside~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~uk who is retiring from two committees in the next couple of months and who never wants to see another poster! ("You've got a computer so you'll be able to do the posters"). - I have multiple copies of four different ones to do today, plus the distribution. http://community.webshots.com/user/sallyswin Louise in Iowa wrote: I'm hoping so, KJ.
