My granddaughters like gloves and I have knit them for the two older
ones and for my daughter (she complained when I had made them for the
girls and none for her). My older DGD has the same size hands that I
do and my daughter's are close -- you are right that it helps a lot. I
am making a pair now for my husband and he is pretty patient about
trying them on for me. I have one of his done but have a ways to go
yet on the second. They aren't hard but take a little more time than
mittens. I am not likely to do them for the little one, though, as the
thought of trying to do the pinky for hers slows me down. She is a
toddler and it is going to be mittens for a while!

The best toddler mittens are the ones made like hand puppets, with the
big "lower jaw" for the thumb. They can get the thumb in easily and
they love wearing them.

I have a pair for using the computer. They're cheaper this way than in
other sources as well. Did you notice the rest of the catalog? I love to
read and plot...

Where in upstate NY are you? I'm in Niagara Falls. I'll take this
weather over shoveling snow any day. It's really windy here right now.
Several branches came off my tree, just missing my car.

Hi Donna,

Welcome and have fun with the gloves. I tried knitting a pair a few
years ago and I still get a look laugh everytime I look at them.

In upstate NY it's like the middle of April, so unusal for this time of
year, but I'll take it, beats shoveling snow.

Hugs,

Nora

We had / have majorly strong winds here today too. It *was* somewhat mild
out earlier today, but now it's quite chilly out there. Even the dogs don't
want to stay out for too long today. ;o)

Hi Robin,

I'm outside of Albany and the wind has been really blowing since
yesterday. We got the terrible thundershowers last night too. Glad the
branches missed your car. Our front lawn is covered with leaves from
the neighbors trees. Wish the wind would blow from the other direction.
LOL

Hugs,

Nora

Hi Robin,
Welcome to you! I live a little close to you...in Rochester. You
haven't seen me around in a few days, but I'm back.
