OT..Loom Knitting Flexible Scarf pattern
while surfing round looking at 'french knitting' stuff, found knitting looms
(same as all the other names we've given it, lol) and a really cute pattern to make. this is a single item that can be worn in multiple ways. its the 'flexible scarf', click on the pix and you'll see all the ways to wear it. the pattern is a free pdf file. just too cute. would be a cute thing for xmas prezzies in the northern hemisphere. would make a good item for those stalls to raise funds too. kids could make them too. oops, nearly forgot the link, eh, lol. http://www.loomknitting.com/catalog.php?category=6 http://www.loomknitting.com/go/view....arfcollage.jpg http://www.loomknitting.com/freedown...xibleScarf.pdf as you can see, last link is to the file itself. second link is to the pix of how to wear it. first link is to the page of all the files on that site, fwiw. who was it whos sister was looking for things to do with scraps of wool? i forget, oh well, maybe she'll see it. KJ??? shrug enjoy! jeanne -- Vote B'fly for President '08 san-fran at ihug dot co dot nz nzlstar on yahoo msg'r nzlstar on webshots |

oh rats, ya gotta have a big huge loom to make it. hmmmmm.
i wonder how hard it would be to make one from scrap timber and some nails. ah ha, a job for the handyperson in the household perhaps. sorry to get your hopes up folks. : / jeanne -- Vote B'fly for President '08 san-fran at ihug dot co dot nz nzlstar on yahoo msg'r nzlstar on webshots "nzlstar*" wrote... while surfing round looking at 'french knitting' stuff, found knitting looms (same as all the other names we've given it, lol) and a really cute pattern to make. this is a single item that can be worn in multiple ways. its the 'flexible scarf', click on the pix and you'll see all the ways to wear it. the pattern is a free pdf file. just too cute. would be a cute thing for xmas prezzies in the northern hemisphere. would make a good item for those stalls to raise funds too. kids could make them too. oops, nearly forgot the link, eh, lol. http://www.loomknitting.com/catalog.php?category=6 http://www.loomknitting.com/go/view....arfcollage.jpg http://www.loomknitting.com/freedown...xibleScarf.pdf as you can see, last link is to the file itself. second link is to the pix of how to wear it. first link is to the page of all the files on that site, fwiw. who was it whos sister was looking for things to do with scraps of wool? i forget, oh well, maybe she'll see it. I"ve been doing a bit of loom knitting over the past six months. my DD
really loves it, actually. We're working on making little hats for premies that a friend of mine works with. They work up in about an hour. Try Knifty Knitter, if you can get one. They have big looms that would
work. roflmao, jenn.
had to laugh. was think'n 'yea, like we can get anything here'. you know this is a tiny wee country with only 4.1 million people. our choice of 'daily used by everyone' items leaves a lot to be desired. you can imagine how much we get in the way of something used by so few folks. they all seem to be hand knitters here. oh i have knitted a few things by hand but i'm sloooooooow as a snail as you well know. also have to unpick over and over til i get it exactly right. no worrys tho. if'n i do decide to give it a go i'll have to nail some pieces of wood together first, then add a bunch of nails. i'm sure it would work as well as the store bought ones would. its the config that makes the difference. where've you been btw? still waffle'n about? A still point'n her tootsies? jym still go'n round and round? found the perfect house yet? stay'n in the same area? hugz all around there from me. {{{{{{{{jenn and crew}}}}}}}}}}} jeanne -- Vote B'fly for President '08 san-fran at ihug dot co dot nz nzlstar on yahoo msg'r nzlstar on webshots "Jenn/Jalynne" wrote in message link.net...
