Upstate NY. Because even though he looked like he was beating her sensless she had not one mark on her, he did, and the judge that hears DV cases is a highly prejudiced (in these cases) woman. In truth if he had beaten her bloody I think half the neighborhood would have come out onto their lawns and applauded. She has lived with him for less than two weeks and has managed to get herself tossed off most everybody's property for one reason or another, usually involving "high" behavior. I certainly shant be sorry to see the back of her. Pity that two men are going to end up in jail to accomplish it. As I gather, the whole incident started when he told her she was going to have to move out. They have no kids. NightMist On Sun, 21 Aug 2005 11:32:14 -0500, "SNIGDIBBLY" wrote: Where do you live? By about half past there were three police cars, a sheriffs car, a fire truck and an ambulance out front. Apparently they had a visitor and the fella got stabbed. Not badly as he kept trying to get up and go after the other fella. So I am sitting here waiting for the police to come by for a statement, and for my landlord to get home from church so I can call and let him know. My landlord is going to want to be raking up the broken glass that flew into our yard and suchlike. The guy who owns the house next door always makes a complaint about one or both of the neighboring houses when he has trouble with his, so landlord is going to want to spiff the place up before the inspector arrives. He only plays it during competitions and he is outside the vehicle with
special earphones on when they do. They measure the sound made with guages. He doesn't listen to that kind of music for entertainment. His pleasure is in building the system and rebuilding the vehicle (customizing) so the huge system fits. His choice of music is the Native American drums and chants that is found in the New Age Section of the music store. If you report the offenders during the day that might be why you aren't getting a response from Law Enforcement. Most noise ordinances have time limits. Unless it is after midnight here in Bentonville it isn't considered an "annoyance". DS was showing a new "setup" to a friend after work back when he worked the second shift. They were at the Wal-mart Warehouses in Industrial Park and no where near a residential area but a passing police officer heard it and wrote DS up. The fine was $230 and DS didn't contest it. He said he was guilty because he was in the city limits and paid the price. He never made that mistake again. LOL!! I agree with you 100% - I hate loud music of any kind!! Or music where you can't understand the lyrics because of all the screaming and yelling. Sorry to say, Snigdibbly, I think that what we call "trunk thunkers" are the most inconsiderate buggers on the planet. I have a barely controllable desire to blow out their speakers with a 12-gauge. My only consolation is that they will go deaf just as fast as the helpless public they are abusing. When I can, I get their license numbers and report them--not that it does much good, the police have better things to do than track down a public nuisance. But I sincerely wish that those thoughtless jerks could get a dose of their own medicine! I'd be happy to play my entire record and CD collection (early CW through late Punk) directly into their ears at 120 db+! Our noise ordinance extends to vehicles with the big boom boom speakers as well. Ask my DS how he knows about that? $230 fine for driving down the road running his stereo!! He competes at the national level and has several first and second place trophies for the highest number of decibels he can put out from his car speakers. That is INSANE! Around here, we have noise ordinances. If the teens in my neighborhood, or my mom's - let their party run past midnight with the music blaring - you call the local police, they come and kindly knock on their door and tell them to turn it down. If they have to come back (because the kids didn't turn it down or turned it back up after the police leave) then they receive a fine. And it is anonymous, they don't tell the residence who called in the complaint. Hugs and hoping for nap time for you today, Tina |

I heard the next door landlord when he first saw the place, I'm
surprised they didn't hear him in Oz! He arrived with a contractor having been apprised of things by the police. When I peeked out the contractor and his guy were wincing at the blue haze the landlord was putting in the air with his tongue. I'm telling you, hardened sailors would have run screaming at what was coming out of his mouth at frightening decibles. Practically the first thing he started talking about after he finished venting his spleen was contemplations on who he might be able to take to court to pay for damages. Believe me, nobody who was living there is coming back to stay, they probably will even have a hard time collecting any of their belonings. Not only did they smash every window and many of the frames, they smashed the outside door to another apartment in that house. The next door landlord is no better than he should be. He always makes a complaint to houseing inspection about his neighbors when he has to do any work on his property. My landlord was greatful for the heads up when I called him. He got a guy over to rake up the glass in our yard right quick, and he will have a fellow over to make sure the yard is spic and span sometime this week. Well sounds like you are rid of that particular lot. Sure hope that
landlord is more discerning about the next tenant. In the meantime all you need hear is the hammering of the workmen as they make repairs. I don't blame the landlord about being upset over the damage. You fix a place up and put a bunch of money into it - only to have it destroyed. I had 8 rentals while I was in college and graduate school. Never had so much trouble in my life. I was so glad when I sold that final piece of property.
