They support each other in PERFORMING the behaviours consistent with the
eating disorders. There are websites, if you do a google search on pro
anorexia or something similar...very very sick. And sad. It's what our
society in large has done to our females.

Supprt to help them realise they are strong enough to overcome the illness
really. Not to promote it at all.. Thats terrible that people can think that
*shudder* No thankfully i dont have that disease.

:-) I hope to help those that do as my friend died from it

This is serious. Doing a quick google search I also found a website that
she posts too. With the same or similar bracelets. I can't tell if she is
looking for help or justification.

Being a former Ana. It is hard and you want to keep it a secret. I can't
imagine wanting praise for what you are doing. I constantly felt like crap
and for some reason enjoyed that. When things start getting out of control
eating is one thing you can control. Once I cried for two hours trying to
make myself eat a pop tart. I think Ana has more to do with depression and
control than anything to do with eating. I often will find my self slipping
back into non-eating. I just don't think about it. So I can see where a
person might want a reminder to eat.

OK my two cents. Probably TMI (too much info)

That's good to know...it would be nice if you'd state that in your auctions.
Many of us got the wrong impression from your posting.

Sorry to hear about your friend!

Not TMI and I think you are right, it's a control issue.

Sending you strength...I'm sure every day has it's own challenges.

yep. there's a website called "livejournal", which is sort of a blog
site. lots of pro-ana communities on there. It's highly disturbing.
