Default OTish: Filtering in Agent

Anyone know how to filter this asshole on Agent (full version) without
blitzing all of the rest of the Yahooers? You'd have my gratitude,
perhaps even undying gratitude.

I notice that the username remains essentially constant, so I set up a
Kill filter for "Author: {RonGrossi}" and that seems to work fine
(yes, you need the squiggly brackets to create what's called a
"regular expression", which applies the filter to anything containing
the string in brackets).

Thank you! the bracket part was the part I didn't know. I'd filtered
the subject line but then he went and changed it on me.

Jenn Liace had some very interesting
things to say about OTish: Filtering in Agent:

(yes, you need the squiggly brackets to create what's called a
"regular expression", which applies the filter to anything containing
the string in brackets).

Thank you! the bracket part was the part I didn't know. I'd filtered
the subject line but then he went and changed it on me.

Glad I could help. :-)

Bless you, Seanette!! I just pasted it into the filters thingy, and
it immediately deleted a whole slew of posts!

Now, does anyone know how to do this in Outlook Express 6? So that the
rules will read a portion of this sender's name, even when he/she/it adds
additional numbers at the end? I'd be ever so grateful, as I can't seem to
figure that out myself.
TIA,

In case anyone else wants this information, the answer I got from the MS
Internet Explorer/Outlook Express board said that "you could create a
message rule that would delete all messages from the server where the From
line includes "RonGrossi" with nothing else added. If you were ever to get
a message from a real person with that name, it would also be deleted."

I think he's reading... he changed the email address and subject line
so that the prior filters no longer caught him. {headbash}

I noticed that. Of course since we know how to set up filters, we can
still kill his nonsense.
