Hello Shauna, just a quick e mail to tell you that May Batterham passed away
yesterday. She was to meet Iris for lunch but did not turn up and so Iris
went into Coffs to see why and could not get into the house as she had no
key and so they got the police to break into the garage and they found her
dead in the house - it is presumed that she must have had a heart attack but
there will have to be a post mortem.

May was 85 on the 30th April and I phoned her and had a long chat for her
birthday and she was as well as can be - and had just passed her driving
test which is required at certain ages these days.

I always loved May she was such a nice person and friends to everyone. No
other news to tell God Bless Love Mum

Noreen I guess my mind was somewhere else - this is the first time I have
ever sent an e mail to the wrong address !!! May was a very beloved cousin
of mine - we had always been very close, even though we lived about four and
a half hours drive apart we visited regularly - I last visited her in
November on our way home from our holiday - and would have seen her again
had I not been ill for so long.

We will be going to Coffs Harbour ( where May lived) for the funeral on
Friday so i will be " off air" for a few days as we will stay over night
before the funeral and again after, since we have got older a we do not like
to take the return trip in one day .

At least this answers the query in my mind as to why Shauna had not answered
it !!! Bye god Bless Gwen
