Quilt Pattern Help!!
My mother is looking for what she calls a "Holly Hobby" quilt pattern. It's
a Simplicity pattern, but it has a little girl and boy sitting back to back on a Rocking Horse. The pattern was made in 1974 and she made it for me when she was pregnant with me. Now, 28 years later she wants to make 2 for a couple of friends of mine 1 has a baby that is almost a year old ans d the other is due in a week and 2 days. I am hoping someone can help me locate this pattern or who wouldbe willing to send me/her a copy of the pattern pieces. Hope you guys can help. I know how resourceful everyone here is. Thanks. Email to , tell them the pattern number and what it is, and ask if it is still available and for pricing information. When they send you that, they will probably ask you to send check or money order to: Simplicity Pattern Co. 901 Wayne Street Niles, MI 49121 Attn: Consumer Relation Dept. (Be sure in include the pattern #) I did this several years ago for a crochet afghan pattern booklet that was published in the 1980s, with great success. So much so that I ordered extra copies, which have now found their way to new homes. Hmmmmm....might have to order another few, as mine is getting worn, and I'm not sure I saved a backup for me...... I don't know where you would find the pattern, but I have an idea. If you still have the quilt you can trace the different pieces onto paper and then draw a second line around each tracing as far away from the original line as you need for a seam allowance. That way you can make your own template by following the second line for cutting the fabric. Clear as mud, right. Good luck. Debra in VA |
