I file my scrap paper in a file box with a colored coded file. You'd be
surprised at how much scrap paper you start to have and every time I wanted a small piece , I couldn't find it, so I'd cut another large piece up. I have found that a very small scrap is great for punches. I was going to throw out a strip that was about 1/2 inch wide and was totally surprised to find that it fit my small punches perfect. Voila, NO WASTE. I look through my scrap box first when I start projects. -- Connie K Pages done for this month= Total pages for the year so far= "Ophelia" wrote in message om... Hi, I am an avid scrapbooker who is researching for an article. I am curious (both for the article and for myself). How do you store your scrap paper so that you can easily see it, as I have found that I have used the same color twice each time from a new piece of paper. I am positive it is due to a lack of proper storage and would welcome all suggestions. Lastly, what ideas do you have for the scrap paper that is not big enough to really do any matting with etc.? I know about punching and diecutting, and have just recently learned about serendipity squares which are wonderful, but would like to know of any more. Websites, pictures or explanations will be greatly accepted. If it is of any help to anyone out there, I have used diecutting machines to make small phone books (which are perfect for teenage girls) I use a tag shaped diecutter and cut 10-12 pieces. I laminate the outer two to give support. Then I string them into a decorative paper clip and viola, instant mini phone book. So again, I appreciate any help you can give. |

Some of the small pieces of paper I am giving to some crafters are
postage stamps. They are used, common, damaged and basically worthless (to stamp collectors), but they surely have many uses in crafts. Dave "Ophelia" wrote in message om...
