Default OT Update on Dad & Daughter

Hi All. I just wanted to pop in and give you all an update on my Dad and
daughter. Dad's surgery went great. They went ahead and stripped out the
lymph nodes just to be on the safe side. Mom said they really laid his scalp
open, looked like a pinwheel. They won't get the test results back until
tomorrow. So we don't know yet if it's cancerous or not. He's up and doing
great though so far. Thanks for all the prayers you sent for him.

My daughter - well what to say. She's a young with tons of drama and a need
for attention. She went to the doctor to find out about the TB. He told her
that she needs to get an X-ray and take a round of INH. He said that she has
the infection but it is encapsulated and dormant therefore is not a threat
to anyone and after she takes the round of INH that will take care of the
problem. So there is not a problem there other than her need for drama. I
know that sounds harsh but you would have to know the girl to understand
what I'm talking about. I love her dearly but I also know her quirks. Thanks
for all the prayers you sent for her situation also.

Hopefully the next couple of weeks will be uneventful and non-stressful. I
want to quilt and rest and not have anything too stressful in my life. I
need to be relaxed for my surgery. Thanks everyone for all the support and
prayers. I really appreciate it.

Hi Mika, I am happy to read that your Dad is doing well. As for your DD,
my sister is the Drama Queen in our family. Oh so tiring, just sucks the
life out of me sometimes. Hugs, Linda in Tx

Ah, an Energy Vampire. We have some in our family, too.

My email to you bounced---compie is being quirky today....must be Monday

FOR MIKA::::::::
Thanks for the 'good' news.
Keeping your Dad in my prayers.
Drama Queens can do that to you. At least you understand 'where her buttons
are' and her trying to push yours.
I'm glad you decided to take care of yourself first off..... that is
sooooooo hard for Mom's to do.

Thanks Linda. And yes the DQ's are so tiring. I wouldn't have such a problem
with her except she has done some really stupid stupid stoopid stuff in the
last two years that she knew better than to do and has made some really bad
bad choices. A lot of it really hurt her Dad and I too. But she doesn't
think about the consequences or who might get hurt, she just does what she
wants to do. Then she has the gall to lie about a lot of it and include her
Dad and I in her lies. She expects us to just believe every word she says
without question and let her do what she wants. Well, we let her do what she
wants, she lives on her own and is over 18. We have no control over her. But
we don't have to enable her in her lies and in the choices she makes.
Someday she will grow up.
