must be white and not removable with water alone. The removal method could be chemical or mechancial but myust be very easy and quick. The chemical must not be environmentally unfriendly, toxic or dangerous. ANy ideas welcomed |

My cousin used to borrow my old 46 Ford Deluxe every Thanksgiving for
the KU football game. They would paint it and 4 or 5 VW beetles with blue and gold poster paint and make the trek to KC each year. I know they got rained on a few times, but the poster paint didn't seem that much for wear. He cleaned it off using a Soilax and paint thinner mix and I never saw any left over blue from the poster paints. He also waxed it for me too! It looked cute, the old Ford with the VWs behind it heading down the highway. And that ole Flathead made it every trip without a breakdown. Gee, I wish I still had that old heap! TTUL Gary |

He cleaned it off using a Soilax and paint thinner mix Poster paint should wash off easily with water, depending on the surface it's applied to. I used to do Xmas scenes on downtown store windows using poster paint mixed with liquid soap. The soap acts as a wetting agent for the application and eases removal later when re-wetted. The originator of the thread did not mention what it is being painted, but here's another idea. Use clear (transparent) low-tack self-stick shelving paper, applied to the object or surface to be painted. Then you can use acrylic artist paint, water-base house paint, or whatever will work and simply strip the shelving paper later when the painting is to be removed. Clean and simple if the surface to be painted is suited to this method. Try hear, no personal connection but I have used this paint It's my truck on the site! http://www.mobile-colors.com/ Use as a spray or brush paint, the paint is water car wash proof and removes easily with the proprietary remover. Sorry should have checked :-( the link is http://www.mobile-colors.com/autohome.asp -- quillion http://www.quillion.ukfsn.org |
