Default is this all about Wood, or are there Stone carvers here too?

Hi everyone,

I'm a seattle-area artist and sculptor and was wondering if this
newsgroup is all about wood or if us lowly carvers of stone are
allowed to hang out and cause problems too.

Thanks,
James Kelsey

Hi James,

I'm a stone carver, and they haven't kicked me out yet. (Although I do carve
some wood too, so maybe that is why I'm still here.)

Check out my other post here regarding a new carving I completed.

I've done a very few pieces in stone, namely Vermont marble (white and
verde) and various soapstone pieces. I do a little of everything.

Hey James.

Just checked out your site. Looks great. I carve a bit using soapstone
and anything else that does not move. I like reading the wood stuff
as it teaches me a lot that I need to know.
