Sewing Machine basics - help required

Hi,

I have been given an old Singer 507 sewing machine, without
instruction manual. Couldnt find an instruction manual anywhere on the
web for it.

Is there any web page which will give me a basic overview of what each
bit of the machine does and how to use it? I have never really used a
sewing machine you see. I am assuming that because of it's age the 507
should be straightforward to use, but I just need some pointers as to
how to start using it.
