But Elizabeth....if he discusses stitching it's the same three topics over and over: Maidens; scientific explainations of computer generated chart conversions; or whining about how designer won't provide stitch counts! Are you sure you want to encourage that? VBG Absolutely! Jim always titles those posts appropriately and I can skip them if I choose. When he starts complaining about our behavior in the middle of a thread, I end up reading it! Elizabeth And taking a shower, of course. |

Elizabeth I have not seen one pleasant post from this person. NOT one. At least I admit when I'm wrong and know full well I can get feisty at times. I also recall him driving certain unnamed desigher(s) off this newsgroup with is "how much floss is needed" agenda. Then you certainly haven't been reading rctn for very long. Jim has been a poster to rctn almost from the very beginning. His work is extraordinarily good (as anyone who has seen his maidens in real life can tell you.) As retired chemist and scientist, Jim's wish for precise stitch counts is perhaps understandable. And as for being positive, who else but Jim has finished other people's projects for them when they were unable to do so? (And at no charge). You might want to look at "Jill's Quilt" which was created by members of rctn for Jim in memory of his lovely wife, Jill. This might tell you how a number of the rest of us feel about Jim. http://www.geocities.com/freecharts_...ILLSQUILT.html Marg |

Did he actually drive anyone off with that, Victoria? It just made me laugh
really - it was pretty harmless - just one of those anal things. I just stopped reading it in the end. My programme does it anyway, I have never been paranoid enough to test it`s accuracy. In any case I never know how much thread has gone off shopping with me on my clothes, and blown away in the wind - and I never really know how much the pup has made off with. Sometimes I snip off a length when I`ve finished using a colour for a particular area, and just throw it away. What the Hell does it matter? Pat P "animaux" wrote in message ... Not exactly a Chippendale but my Dimple Design Merman of 'The Heir' has a
good pair of 'buns' albeit fishy ones !!!!! Jan wrote in message ... I'll vote for that too. Only using cross stitch within the body of other types of needlework, I have no interest in stitch counts, cross stitch programmes etc. I recognize that thread and do not read it. Simple. With regard to maidens, why have we not seen posts with links to patterns for lounging males ? Are there none of the Chippendales for example? Surely some of you avid stitchers out there must have seen these patterns if they exist and if not, I wonder why not ? Sheena |

Yes! But surely there is a Adonis or Apollo out there somewhere! Well there is Dimples Designs Merman (I can't remember the title). I'd like to see a chart of Michaelangelo's David, myself. Sheena Men are stimulate with visual aid, women, for the most part are stimulated by other means, for the most part. Aside from those statistics which are available everywhere you want to look, I have no desire to stitch a naked man. I sleep with one nightly and skinny dip in the pool with daily. v Me neither - all those dangly bits are so UNTIDY!!! lol! Pat P |

With regard to maidens, why have we not seen posts with links to
patterns for lounging males ? I tried to experiment with the male figure....but I had to stick it onto a horse and make him a centaur! ROFL He hasn't sold as well as I'd hoped, so live and learn!
