MIrror Ball
I need to make a small, light weight mirror ball for a disco party. I intend
to wear it on a hat, so I don't want to use real mirrors. I am considering using a styrofoam ball as the core, but can't figure out what to use for the mirror pieces. Anyone have any suggestions? Also, if anyone has any other ideas for what to wear to a disco party. I've never owned a leisure suit and don't plan on getting one now! Thanks. Pete |

Pete I've seen little mirrors packaged in small cellophane envelopes. They're usually embroidered on wearable Indian garments so I suspect they're not glass. You could probably find them at a craft store like Treasure Island or Michael's or the Rag Shoppe--wherever you pick up the styrofoam ball. While you're there, look for glue that's styrofoam safe. Some glue will dissolve styrofoam. :-( As for the costume--how about tight pants, a very wide white patent leather belt and a tight, slinky-looking shirt in hot pink, purple or chartreuse green, or a wild combination. Also a neck dripping in chains. Yoiks! :-) Check out your local thrift store. Have fun. :-) Liz |

If you have any of those AOL Cd's hanging around, you might heat them gently
with a heat gun and use snips to cut them into rectangles. Be sure to get glue that works on styrofoam. Anya |
