I crochet crib blankets and sometimes edging. Ponchos come off of the
triloom, everything else is knitted. On Mon, 10 May 2004 10:38:04 -0500, Noreen's Knit*che wrote: Which do you like better for PONCHO's? Which do you like better for SHAWLS? Which do you like better for Stoles/wraps? TIA, Noreen who is in 'designing MODE'.... |

"Noreen's Knit*che" wrote in message .. . Which do you like better for PONCHO's? Which do you like better for SHAWLS? Which do you like better for Stoles/wraps? TIA, Noreen who is in 'designing MODE'.... I've done all of those in both knit and crochet..mostly i decide by what yarn i have on hand and how quickly i need whatever the item is. ( crochet if i need it fast and i have enough yarn at home: knitting if its not a hurry up project and i have less yarn) don't think thats too much help tho laurie -- http://noreensknitche.weblogs.us/ http://www.mblog.com/noreens_knitche http://noreensknitche.ceejaycee.net ~ ~ ~ http://mail2office.tripod.com/noreensknitche ~ ~ ~ http://knitche.squarespace.com/ ~ ~ ~ change n e t to c o m to email me. |

Noreen's Knit*che wrote: Which do you like better for PONCHOs? Which do you like better for SHAWLS? Which do you like better for Stoles/wraps? If something is likely to swing freely and catch on things, I'd prefer crochet because it won't run as fast as a knit that has caught on a nail/door handle/chair arm. So I'd say crochet for ponchos and sturdy shawls, but knit for stoles/wraps/and nicer shawls. =Tamar |

Always crochet for all. Just find the right pattern and colour combination.
Oh, almost forgot - and right yarn - otherwise what is the advantage of the slowly acquired stash. -- Mike O'Brien e-mail - Any day is a good day if you can sit up and take nourishment - anything beyond that is a bonus. |
