Hi everyone,

I'm new to this group but have been lurking for 2 months. I
started playing with clay over a year ago when I took a
course that was offered by my county recreation services.
It is great fun. The four hour class went by so fast I
couldn't believe it. I've been hooked on making pens and caps.

The filigrana canes Chryse made are beautiful. I did a
search on filigrana and glass and found this web site that
shows how it's done with glass. I haven't tried it to
convert the technique to clay yet.

It might be worthwile to look at more glass blowing
techniques to see if they can be applied to clay.

Happy twisting.

Ahh, so you're a "Jersey Girl" too. I live in central NJ
near the shore.

Here's the URL where you can see some of my pens.

They are like my babies. I've been using my daughter's
coworkers as guinea pigs to see how durable they are. So
far so good. They all love their "pretty pens".
