I'm glad you had fun! Mickie is one of the nicest RCTQers I've met - and
that's saying something, cuz I think they're all nice!

Had a nice time on Saturday meeting up with our Mickie Swall at my
sorta-LQS. I hadn't realized the local "Heritage Days" celebration
coincided with our planned meet - could NOT find a parking spot to save my
soul, finally sneaked my car into a spot that wasn't exactly kosher; got

out
of my car and all these gunshots started to volley all 'round me.

(heavens,
I'm thinking, did I take the President's parking spot?) All these men
dressed in WWII battle gear run past and around me, exchanging blank
gunfire. I started to walk toward the quilt shop and I was motioned to

STOP
in my tracks. (but I just want to get to Mickie at the *quilt* shop, I'm
muttering...) Sneaked thru and around some backyards and finally made

it.
Poor Mickie - she probably thought she'd been stood up.
She had a new quilt project to show me that she's readying for a show in
October, and one of her own *patterns* !!! I didn't know she is
publishing!! Such a talented gal Mickie is; brought her back to my house
for some Subway lunch and coffee, and she showed me EQ5 tricks on my
computer - I had never realized the capability and power of that program,
and she whizzed right thru it, typing and clicking furiously. Geeezzzz -
what planet have I *been* on, anyway??
I don't know how Mickie does it all. She makes quilts for QuiltMaker (and
often, there's 2-3 quilts in one issue with her siggie on 'em ), designs

her
own patterns and publishes, teaches quilting, and has two teenagers.
Mickie, you're a powerhouse!
Hugs to you, Mickie! Thanks for a great time!
In Stitches,
Buckeye Bev

Our little meeting was the highlight of my annual trek to
the Cleveland Ohio area! One of these years I think I'll
plan to visit Olmsted Falls' Heritage Days instead of
Abigayle's Quiltery ~ will it be Abigayle shooting at me? LOL

I'm amused at how I look from a different perspective... most
days I feel like I go in circles all day and get simply nothing
really accomplished! No doubt it's seeing the piles of to-do
projects and stacks of reading that make me feel so far behind
......(and no comments here about the stuff under the cutting
table, Krysia, thankyouverymuch!)
Hugs,
Mickie

Rats! I'm so sorry I couldn't make this! I had to work Saturday, then came
home and fell asleep for three hours! Really wasn't feeling too well that
day, I guess. G So glad you guys had a good time, though. Although I've
met up with both of you before, it would be fun to see you both again!
The gal is a dynamo, isn't she? LOL
