half drilled bead
Hi all,
I normally only do stitching beadwork (for example peyote), but I fell in love with a bead, that I thought would make a great pendent, so I picked it up. When I got home I reallized it is only half drilled. So how do I attach a loop to it to make it into a pendant, or is it even possible? If not how are half drilled beads used? -Margaret -- \\ o o |\/ o\ o o Margaret St. John |/\ / Let it snow!! http://www.silverthorn.org/mstjohn /// -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |

I know I, saw somewhere on line, someone making pearl pendants with
half-drilled pearls. She glued the wire into the pearl and the sculpted around the pearl and made a bail. It was really pretty. I remember wanting to try it, but I didn't have a half-drilled pearl. -- Jerri www.beadbimbo.com "Margaret St. John" wrote in message .. . This looks like a tiny screw with a cup attached. You insert the screw into the hole, with glue like E6000 or silicone to hold it. You need to put glue around the cup as well, not too much or it won't hold. If you can't find such a finding, you can cut an eye pin to fit, but it won't be as secure. Findings like up eyes are available at Rio Grande or Rings and Things. Or, if you have a good local bead store, try there. Patti |

I have just looked at your website and I like your photographs. Especially the sunset ones. Now as to the weather, wave your magic wand and predict it to at least be dry on Friday for my granddaughters wedding. Shirley Thanks Shirley. I really do need to add the pictures from this year. I have some really nice sunrise shots. As to changing the weather I wish I really did have a magic wand. I hope the weather turns out wonderful for the wedding. -Margaret -- \\ o o |\/ o\ o o Margaret St. John |/\ / Let it snow!! http://www.silverthorn.org/mstjohn /// -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |

As has been said, "half-drilled" = "half glued". I don't know how to do anything but glue a finding into the top of it. Local bead store should have one. Becki |
