Default Viking Megaquilter and Imspira

Hi everyone.

I see that Viking has come out with a "quilting machine" in the form
of the Megaquilter sewing machine and Inspira frame.

Has anyone had any experience with this duo and how is it working out
for you.

We are planning on purchasing one here shortly and were really
wondering how well it works. We are looking at the machine, frame and
stitch regulator.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I have a Viking and I am very interested in the Megaquilter. I went to the
site and found the machine and the and the frame, but I can't find the
stitch regulator. Are you saying Viking has a stitch regulator?

I don't know anything about these personally but I looked it up and
found this...

at the very bottom it talks about a "cruise control"

The stitch controller is the Cruise Control. It is being sold through
Viking and Pfaff dealers for those machines. I have it for my Brother.
It is good, but not perfect.

Yeah, I saw that too, Roberta. I wonder if that is what regulates the
stitches. I guess so. Doesn't it look like it is mounted somehow to the
quilting frame? I had something completely different in my head. I guess I
thought it was like a walking foot or something.
I like the look of the new MegaQuilter machine. Big bed and so much room
under the arm.
I have room for a new machine, I sure don't have room for a quilting frame.

People in my guild were talking about Juki's the other night. I guess there
is a new machine with a stitch regulator built in? I haven't had time to
research it yet.

That's the one I bought but I sold it to my friend Rosie. I just didn't
have the room for it.

The dealer here quoted $3100 for the whole system (machine, frame,
regulator).

The stitch regulator was $500 and the machine/frame was 2600. He
didn't break out the frame by itself as he is discounting the package.
