Default Stamping on eyeglasses cords

Hello. I'd like to rubber stamp a decoration on some eyeglasses
retainers--the knit, tubular kind, not the flat shoelace kind. Is
there any certain technique I should use? Any special ink? I want to
be sure the design doesn't crack or smear.

Any information you can provide about this project would be
appreciated.

Regards,

Dear Ms. Haas:

Thank you for your reply. I went to look for products at Michael's,
but they didn't have a permanent ink. They didn't have any stamps
skinny enough to fit either.

So I bought a stamp. Then, I went to the fabric section and found
fabric paints in marker form and bought a set of those. I might try to
rub the marker on the stamp. Or I might not. I'm not sure how well it
will work.

Again, thank you for your reply. I appreciate your input.

When I was in my Michael's last week they did have Staz-on inkpads. But
Michael's (at least the one here) is not known for putting things in
logical places, or staying stocked with a particular item. Don't give
up. :-)
