We encourage you to forward=20 this email to friends and colleagues.=20 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3 D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=20 He Is The Only Bird Able To Look Into The Sun Let me tell you more about this beloved Avian that shares=20 our planet. Nail him to a barn door ... and the evil spirits will be kept at bay. Eat his brains while they are still warm .... you will be granted fantastical illusions. Perhaps you will think you are a bird ... or a plane ... or the monster that dwelleth in the deep lagoon. Boil this creature's egg and have two of you eat the yummy insides at the same time ... and you will be forever protected from witches and other evil spirits. However ... don't watch him fly for any prolonged period of time ... for in this case--no matter how many eggs you eat--death will never-the-less be awaitin' to carry you off. Steal an egg from its nest and peace will forever elude you. Which brings us to the philosophical question: If you can't steal its eggs, then how do you get one in order to eat it? Yo. Excuse me, Bird Sir, may I please have one of your unborn hatchlings in order to eat it and thereby have great illusions? Nay nay dear souls. Methinks not. Of course ... I know you all know by now ... our bird friend is none other than the mighty eagle. Did you know that Adam and Eve never died but were actually turned into eagles in order to live off the coast of Ireland. Of course ... it stands to reason one should never ask whether or not Ireland existed in those days. If it is written ... then it must be true. Yes? The ancient Egyptians believed that every ten years the eagle flew through the fires of hell and then plunged into water in order to acquire a new life. I do not question this for I recognize fact when I read it. As to how the eagle survived the hell-fires and where did it find water in that place ... well ... that is a question for greater minds than mine. The suspension of disbelief is necessary not only for the enjoyment of fiction ... but also for the enjoyment of the Great Myths. There's more to be said about this magnificent creature adored and revered by the American Indian. There are places where it is the symbol of Fertility, Storm, and War. But nowhere in the annals of myth and fantasy is our bird more to be admired than in the mystical world of jewelry. Yes ladies and gennulmen. The Eagle which rest on the wrist is mightier than the sword which rests in the stone. I have no idea what this means ... but it has a rather quaint rhythm ... wouldn't you say? Which leads me to a bangle. Nothing short of magnificent my friends. I would venture to say there isn't a woman alive that would not want this creature adorning that area directly above her gracious hand. =46or those of you who are new to this thing called Tidbits...may I direct you to my home page at www.tyler-adam.com where you will scroll down the left side menu till you get to the area that says Tidbits Graphics ... and then click on the link that says: Eagle ... in order to view a rather fantastical eagle bangle whose beauty surpasses even=20 that of the mighty tiger. And there ya have it. That's it for this week folks. Catch you all next week. Benjamin Mark All issues of Tidbits are copyrighted and available from our=20 home page. All rights reserved. |
