Default Style Question, poll about charm bracelets ?OT?

We have some box link bracelets with 10mm links.
Kerry wants to put 4 charms on each and every link.
I think that is overkill. Since these are for sale eventually, what do the
buyers/makers of charm bracelets think?
TIA
Armand

It depends on how heavy it would be in the end. I prefer charm bracelets
with tons of stuff but not too heavy.

I agree with Starlia, I love the busy look of bracelets with many charms and
dangleys, but don't want it to be too heavy...

Personally, I like them very full. It's a lot of work, but the result is
gorgeous. Just make sure to vary the length of the dangles.

Hi, Armand. I think it would depend on the type of "charms" Kerry
wants to use. Will they be base metal or pewter? Those type would be
heavy. Sterling Silver might be lighter. Also, the same thing would
apply with using lampwork = heavy on the wrist. That said...
*completely* overloaded 'charm' bracelets are selling on eBay lately.
At least the ones I've watched - and not the ones that have only one
charm or bead per link... think GOBS of beads per link.

I've made a few overloaded/heavy bracelets in my time. I made one
that was a 'Carmen Miranda' type bracelet - all glass fruits and glass
leaves wirewrapped and then linked onto one of those 3 *strand (*wrong
word- mentalpause) ... anyway, it's those expandable watch type
bracelets with 3 rows of holders. I sold it after only a few months
to a woman who appreciated the uniqueness and lightheartedness of the
piece. That was also a heavy bracelet; the weight came from the
glass and also the weight of the expandable bracelet, but it was a
charming piece.

I've also made a positively gorgeous 'charm' bracelet that is set onto a
simple link chain. I absolutely adore it and want to keep it for my
own - that's why it's in a gallery right now priced as $240.00. Like
Kerry wants to do, I placed 4-5 wirewrapped small beads onto each link
of the bracelet. In this case, I used Bali Silver beads & headpins,
Sterling Silver beads, real Coral Chunks & Chips, real Turquoise Chunks
& Chips, along with numerous misc. Sterling Silver plated Indian bell
beads. It jingles fantastically!

Summary... let Kerry give it a whirl!!! If nothing else, she's gonna
have a lot of fun making it, not to mention completely mastering her
wire-wrapping skills.

I agree, except I wouldn't use all charms. Charms and beads or gemstones
together will probably let the charms show better.

Personally, I don't think it is possible to have *too* many charms on a charm
bracelet! But, that's me!!
