Default Just when I'm in the groove

Just when I was in the groove tonight I did a very stupid thing. I was
reaching for some twisty that fell off my graphite platform and the palm of
my hand hit white hot glass that just came out of the flame. Yeeouch! I'm
surprise that DH didn't wake up from all the bad words flying out of the
kitchen.

Since I feel like crap anyhow I guess I'll go to bed now.

Oh my goodness! You poor thing! Get yourself some lavender oil. I've heard
it works wonders. Gotta get some of that myself.

I have burn cream the doctor wrote a script for. It helps a lot along with
aloe.

Oh, jeeezzzzzz...that curls my toes just thinking about it. Do
you have any meds for pain? It may help you get some sleep.

I don't know about anyone else but burns are pretty normal in lampworking.
This one was worse than others but it was totally my fault for not paying
attention to where I was reaching. Even though it was a bad burn it wasn't
bad enough for pain meds. I did try to make a bead after the burn and
curling my hand to hold the mandrel hurt so I stopped.

After sleeping really well with bandage smothered in burn cream it's a lot
better. You can still see the blister but it doesn't hurt half as bad as it
did last night. No harm no fowl. I'll be working again today.

OW!!! I zinged my index finger and thumb a few weeks ago, trying to move a
mandrel in the kiln (yes, Major DUH moment). For once I actually managed to
leave the blisters alone til they peeled off on their own. Yuck!

OW Starlia! I'm glad it's better today. I think I will stick with polyclay and
cutting my fingers on blades...

yeah -- not as bad as yours - but I got a "hot popped" glass burn night before
last...
went down my cleavage...
and hit the left breast... ouch....
