Default WTB: sterling silver "alien head" ring

Hi folks,

I'm looking for a replacement for a ring which I purchased at a Piercing
Pagoda kiosk in 2001. This is the classic egg-shape head with almond-shape
eyes and no nose or mouth, such as seen he

http://www.frozencpu.com/cgi-bin/fro...ml?id=MSUWPTyc

It was the last one they had and shortly after I bought it they discontinued
stock.
Piercing Pagoda's stock number on this was 560206097.

I've browsed tons of jewelry sites, plus mall kiosks and other dealers,
distributors and wholesalers all over the Houston area. Every dealer I've
encountered is clueless, including Piercing Pagoda (go figure). The heads
I've found are the wrong shape or they have noses and/or mouths.

I bought some black onyx stones from which I planned on fabricating eyes for
the alien. The ring was cast with eye sockets (thru-holes actually) which
were ripe for this modification and I couldn't resist. Unfortunately, the
ring was damaged FUBAR before I had the chance to complete the upgrades, so
now I need a new one.

The head was a nice size (7/16" bottom to top). Smaller eyes wouldn't suit
me and larger eyes would require purchasing additional, larger stones.

Cu$tom ca$t ring$ aren't an attractive option, as the original didn't co$t
an arm and a leg. I suppose as a last resort I could cast my own one-off
design, but the tools and materials would cost more than the original, even
though I have access to a kiln. Besides, it would no doubt take me a number
of attempts to even come close to getting the shape right. I can shape and
polish a couple of stones, but heck, I'm not an artist.

Any help will be appreciated.

-Ray

I know you're gonna hate to hear this, but those egg-head-almond-eye aliens
were assimilated by the Borg a couple month's ago, and of course nobody's
been abducted by them since. Even Walmart won't stock
egg-head-almond-eye-alienabelia since the bottom has dropped out of the
market. Ever consider getting one o' them 7-of-9 implants? (Better make
sure your insurance covers it before you commit.) ;~}

I think I'd need two great big implants to mimic Jeri Ryan, though they
wouldn't look quite right on me. =o
I can't imagine anyone wanting to resist her. er.. well the agamous,
egghead ET's might.

Ray,

I own and operate JewelTech in North Bend, WA. I use Cad CAM and Rapid
Prototyping to make my models I design on the computer. I could probably
help you out if you can give me some idea of what you want to spend. I can
probably mill a wax for you or cast it up in silver and let you do the
finishing. Anyways, let me know.........JIM
