Default Quilted Happy Dance!

It's not DONE, but the quilting is finally finished on Spike's I Spy
quilt!!! The final border is stipple quilted, and I hate stippling! This is
a 2-sided, twin size quilt (could there be any other size for Spike and
Giles). At this point, I'm moving on to the quilting on Giles' I Spy quilt.
That one needed to be basted twice, par for the course when dealing with
anything Giles.

Once her quilting is done, then I'll trim and bind. I don't want one quilt
to be finished much before the other, in case someone starts to think I'm
playing favorites!

Hippity hopping around in a wobbly Happy Dance, done with very little sleep.

Oh, no! I LOVE stippling. I stipple small when there's lots of time and
stipple large when I'm in a rush. I never want to do any other kind of
quilting because I don't have to rule or measure or watch my lines with
stippling.

YEAH for you. When you're done there, come work on some of mine, okay?

Its the Womanly Art of Zen Stippling. ... Your head gets into a zone and it
feels we become a part of the fabric, or machine...

You're right. I never thought about it before but it is sort of hypnotic.
I just love it.

Giselle (I thought it was sort of "cheating" to quilt like that but as long
as one person hates it, I guess it must be harder than I thought )

Well done Wendy!
Given your shortage of time, I think it is incredible what you achieve.
I just had a quick re-look at some of your quilts (I specially like
looking at the quilt hangers gg). I just love that spiders' web
quilting on the Halloween quilt. Mind if I pinch the idea ... for
sometime? Hope not.

Since I probably stole the idea from someone else, go ahead! Obviously, I
don't have enough time to keep those web pages updated. It's on the list....
:-)

Thanks!

Congratulations Wendy!

When can we see pictures? I love all your quilts and I know these must be
adorable!

I am also working on two twin size I Spy quilts for my two grandchildren. I
am not as far done as you are but I do hope to have them finished in
Feburary for their birthdays. I have one top completely pieced and the
second top just needs the two borders added. These are the first bed size
quilts I've ever done so I'm a little nervous about the quilting - which
will be plain straight lines for now! Maybe with my next quilt I can
adventure into the world of free motion quilting!
