Default book reviews

I have just received the two books on order for our Guild.

Both books are from the Interweave Press.

"Felted Knits" by Beverly Galeskas, and "Folk Bags" by Vicki Square. They
are both great little books, full with fantastic ideas.

The Folk Bag book is filled with a great range of different patterns. All
of them knitted. All of them very much in style, done in great colours.
There are so many ideas here, that everyone will find at least one bag
worth to try your hand at.

The felted knits is very much in the same trend. Lots of colour and many
great ideas...slippers, bags, hats, and mittens. (and much more)
Combinations of felted knitting with eylash yarn, making a plain pattern
into a very fashionable item.

Both books are priced @ $32.95 Canadian. Not cheap, but when you take in
account that you get many great patterns in one book it is a good deal.
Most of the items are small enough that you could get one done (if you are
not run of your feet that is), before Christmas as a gift.

Go check it out, ask one for Christmas or best yet, get it from your local
library.

Happy knitting and felting

Els

Cher

I wouldn't be surpised if P&M Woolcraft stock or will be stocking this- they
certainly seem to have others in the series.

Regards
Sarah
