can you identify what exactly I need please?
A non-beader person needs help please! I have seen some large sized
bead sprays standing in tall thin 40cm vases which I wish to recreate for table centrepieces, beads flow up and over like a fountain. I think have sourced the beads but am looking for something to glue the beads onto. The ones I saw used a monofilament clear twine type stuff that is quite thick and has enough strength to hold weight of several beads. Can you advise what I could use as mosts wires etc on 'bead shop' sites seen to be too thin and lightweight. Incientally these ones I saw were threaded onto transparant pink and red twine. Any ideas? |

I think you're best off to go to Michael's or another craft store and peruse their floral arrangement department. I don't think you want to make these, really. -- The Blessed Fiddy, Patroness Saint of the Disorganized LC in Sunny So Cal Personality Development Specialist (Full-Time Mom!) |

glue will work but will show
you can use lots of copper wire and a copper wire stem, most hardware stores sell copper wire as does http://www.riogrande.com for the wrapping of the beads onto the stems you can use 24 or26 guage, and you can use 16 or 14 gauge for the branches you attatch the beads to.... you can also get lots of floral green wire and green tape and floral stems at places like walmarts craft department or michaels, or joannes fabrics ect...... it does sound like a very adventurous craft project, best of success, smiles, susieg -- susie gibson ******************************************** http://www.reachone.com/sgibson/ ******************************************** "eden" wrote in message om... No, I DO want to make these, and they are easy enough to do, I am just
trying to identify a type of clear twine, filament that would be strong enough and where I could get it (in the UK). |

Do you have a picture or can you tell me where you saw them. Shirley in UK -- Shirley Shone |
