Default Brain-fart continued: mitered triangular shawl

If I could scan a drawing and post what I'm after here, I would, but we
can't do that here.
I want a miter in the middle... and I want it triangular, but NOT a perfect
one... I want it to ... decrease in the middle enough to 'dip'... I'm just
not describing it right. An emergency phone call to Mom came up with....
start with three, increase on each end every row, the slip 1, knit one,
psso in the middle, every other row....and on the rows where NOT decreasing
purl middle stitch....

Now, draw an imaginary line from the middle V out to the ends... am I
making sense?
This should be easy for me, and Don's even trying to work it out

Hugs,
Noreen
