Default stitching "print"

I am finishing up a needlepoint of the Pall Mall girl. She is holding a
book -- there is some printing on the page. None of the stitches I have
tried look like print -- would appreciate some suggestions. The books is no
more than 3"X4". Thank you.

Sewing thread is a good idea, and I'd also suggest dark gray rather than
black. From a distance, print usually doesn't look pure black.
