Default kiln venting question

I have a toploading electric kiln firing up to 1300º. is it necessary to
continue venting the kiln area once the cooling down has started? thanx

No, unless you want the kiln to cool down a bit quicker than normal. Most
harmful emissions are gone by the time the kiln has reached red heat anyway.
