I just used a Michael's coupon today for a pasta maker. I didn't know
they had stuff like drill presses. Of course, I've been sticking pretty
much to the clay aisle, or gel candle making stuff

Cheers,
Carla

Uh.....what? You're talking to the tool-impaired here

Hi Carla!
I'm technophobic myself, power tools scare me----but this ones pretty user
friendly and takes up little space. You line things up, turn it on, pull the
handle down then up----and there's a neat hole al the way through! Also, its
variable speed, and I can set it slow---like at "2" so as to not go too fast
and overheat the clay or stick. When there's a coupon at places like Michaels
or Hobby Lobby you can get one very reasonably. The hand drill ones are good
too, but as you say---its hard to line things up.

And thanks--I'm glad you like my website. I'll have new things up soon----gotta
get my scanner reinstalled and working.

I have been waiting ever since you first posted about ventures into glass to
see what might come of it... and of course the first steps are as exciting
to hear about as the next thousand will be. Thanks so much for the update.

I've been going very slowly---its not the same, using someone else's studio
space, and I've been trying to let them have at it first! But I'll be posting
more about it when I've got the first batch cleaned up---then its on to making
more!!! Its very cool to pour the frits into the molds--and later get glass
thats in my faceshapes! But oh----PC is eversomuch easier to work detail into!

Oh! My digital camera batteries (both sets) are getting flaky. Either
that, or it's the charger. I don't know anyone with a digital camera
who I can ask to charge the batteries for me (as a test), so....I'm
bummed out right now.

That was my first thought, too....but only since I'm a sick puppy. Since it
wasn't followed by ::wink wink:: ::nudge nudge:: I figure I'm safe. 8^D

Think I'll have a (white chocolate) Kit Kat; that should make me feel
better (temporarily)!

If I didn't know you, I would have been worried by that offer! ;^D

Thanks for the offer, Candace. Nice to "see" you here!

I know. I nearly didn't post it for that very reason.

My friends and I used to play a game where they would give me a phrase, and
I would have to give it back to them in a verbally sexual manner. I never
let them down

I'm so used to getting offers to enlarge my penis (don't have one, BTW) or
to buy drugs that it didn't faze me.

Back Up Your Data! Back Up Your Data!

That grinding noise upon startup is likely a head rubbing against the
hard drive or worse. It's just a matter of time until it croaks. If
it only makes whacked out noises on startup, and you don't get the
"blue screen of death" after the machine has been on for a while,
consider leaving the machine on 24/7.

But back up your data - you're going to be loading it onto a new hard
drive and probably rather quickly. After seven years, you have
definitely gotten your money's worth.

Did I mention back up your data?

Kathy N-V, BTDT

Nice to see another RCB'er here, Kathy!

I know that I've gotten my money's worth, but I can't afford a new one
until I get a job. I just hope that it doesn't go into Never Neverland
before I can replace it.

Cheers,
T

It sure is scary. 8^( It doesn't make noise for very long, so
that's something to be thankful for.

It's *only* a 6GB HD, and I'm running out of room. Waaaaaaay overdue
for replacement. DH made me laugh when he told me that I should have
gotten the best/biggest/fastest, etc. machine at the time I bought it.
He didn't know that whatever I bought would be out-of-date in six
months!

If I win the Powerball (yeah!), I'll reward myself with a new 'puter!

Here's hoping,
Turtlelover
