"Sarah Grace" wrote Dear Katherine Thank you so much! I must insist, though, that you take time to craft (doctors orders). I am trying, Sarah! School has been cancelled for this morning, so I should be able to do some knitting - as long as I get away from the computer. g Dm and I were discussing how we feel carried along on a cloud of prayers and positive vibes and i know that it is that which is helping us to get through this. Of course it is! All this good karma has to do something! Hugs, Katherine |

Sarah, prayers going out to you and yours through this difficult time! Keep
us posted, and vent as needed, as we care about you here! Karen in MN "Sarah Grace" wrote in message ... Hi everyone Just wanted to touch base with you all and catch up on my obligations. I hope Jenn receives her package soon and one went off to Nora as well so please keep an eye out, Nora. OT bit: The last week has been like a horrible limbo- Dsis was lavished with attention in hospital and her pain was controlled but due to policy changes our amazing general surgeon friend can't do the op so she has been referred to a specialist centre. She came home for the weekend but was readmitted into the new hospital yesterday and after being in a side room with super new equipment (tv, phone, email) she is outraged to discover life in an old fashioned hospital. Cancer has been mentioned along with hysterectomy so it has been a rather terrifying journey. I am just praying that they will need to do only the minimum *and* that they can squeeze her in this week- the prof's list is chocka block and his is away next week. So i have been knitting and spinning and spinning and knitting. The wheel was allowed to enter the living room and i have been mindlessly spinning and processing my manx loaghtan. I have been carrying a booga bag around on needles and have been knitting some Nancy Bush socks for my Dad's Christmas pressie- out of hand spun mind you! That was until he commented on how itchy they looked -humphffff and grrrr-. They are not at all itchy, ok not exactly a yarn to make a vest out of (cheviot and leicester x with black welsh top, heel and toes) but for a sock they are fine. They are turning out big anyway so i will rip them back and he can have something hideous instead. Any suggestions? Thank goodness yarn crafts keep you vaguely sane- my paternal relatives are whitterers when they are panicked and i am practising being calm and smiley. My aunt in Spain got rollicked though when she rang last night, the moment i had left my father (deep calm breaths) (she rang him first and he thoughtfully told her to ring me) and told me my cousin was coming to stay on Saturday...erm dream on Oh dear this is a bit of a vent- i hope you don't mind but I am trying to be vaguely rock like to the family but gosh it is hard. I started the post to say that i find the need to take a plethora of projects with me whenever i am near the hospital- the Bush sock is biting the dust, but i am fancying doing some others. I thought of using the lopi Sue DC swapped with me for Dawn Brocco's lopi socks- anyone done these? I also like the look of EZ's Moccasins- anyone done these and any comments about comfort. The weather here in the UK is rarely really really cold so i need something warm but not ridiculously thick and oven like. I have just felted booga bag #1 for the 3rd time (fulled- i know) and i likey. So i think i will do another with the remains of my KA experiments of the other week. It's a bit summery but hey i don't care. I am having some butterflies cast in silver and will set some czs in them and plan to hang one on each bag for a complete gift. Ok i am signing off now- sorry again about the length. Thank you all** for your thoughts and words- we are not out of the woods yet (so please continue) but we are maybe heading in the right direction. Bigs hugs and best regards Sarah |
