new websites, more beads
hiya everybody!
Its been a hot-hot-hot summer here so far, and almost too hot to do much polymer clay bead making. But I'm managing to get lots of work done anyway, and hoping that soon my studio will cool down into the Goldilocks range, with no-too-hot and not-too-cold.....I've got shows lined up in Denver and in Houston and a trip to Ohio (gotta stop in at Byzantium when I'm there, better call them today!!) to do polymer clay bead classes on the 15-16 of September , so fall is lining up to be busy too. One of the ways I've been keeping a roof overhead and beads flowing in my doorway is by working at the Local Bead Store in town. I'm the class coordinator at Bead Lounge in Longmont CO and I've been designing and building more websites too, doing more photography---I do theirs http://beadlounge.com and have been doing others lately too. One's for a bead artist named Laura who also works at the Bead Lounge. She does really beautiful beadwork, so it was fun and easy to put together her site. Its not totally done, but I thought I'd offer y'all a peek since you like beads too! http://landsglory.com Several of my beady pals are either instructors or working and selling their jewelry at Bead Lounge, and so I've been more and more exposed to PMC and fused glass stuff, and I'll be doing more of that once it cools off too---truly, I dont know how you torchers do it in summer!!! My polyclay's dinky 275degrees F is way too hot an oven temp for the summer, I cant imagine having the flame going or the kiln!! I hope you are all having a wonderful season, and I'll be posting more again soon. I feel as though I've been away too long! Sarajane -- Sarajane's Polyclay Blog http://www.polyclay.com/blog |

Lovely to see you back.
Yesterday I found your book after mislaying it. It is right alongside of me. Must have brought you back. LOL Seriously though I thought this NG was going out because there were only 5 messages on it two days ago, and they were ones that stay on my compie for 3 days. I have not had anything to write about, not done much of anything let alone beadwork. Hugs Shirley In message , Sarajane Helm writes hiya everybody! My dear! how cool is that, summoned up by the power of the
bookfinding....g! I'm pleased to see you here, Shirley, I've been thinking about you and all my beading buddies here and realized I hadnt been "here" in too long. Partly this is busy-ness, partly its that its about 95 degrees F in the room with the computer and I start to melt away after a few hours. perhaps we can start some yakking here, stir up the newsgroup with some beady input...chime in , y'all! hugs to you Shirley! (oh, and BTW--I have "borrowed" your first name Shirley for a character in a show I'm writing and making the pupputs and so on...including their BEADS!!! Gotta have beads.... Shirley Eugeste is my main character's Aunty Acid's Publicist/Manager/Secretary. And thats a pretty good indication of the level of humor at which we take aim, too!!) So cool! Looks like we all need cooler weather to make more beads. I am so
glad it's only in the 80's here. It could be much worse. -- Kandice Seeber www.lampwork.net "Sarajane Helm" wrote in message . .. hiya everybody! hi there Kandice! (wave, wave!)
yeah, the 80's sound great, and I'm not talking the disco era either...I was glad to see the Qiana fabrics and other polyester take a back seat to natural fibers again. I am SO looking forward to Fall!! SJ -- Sarajane's Polyclay Gallery Beads-Dolls-Wearable Art http://www.polyclay.com "Kandice Seeber" wrote in message . .. So cool!
