Here's a pic of my latest quilt for my daughter Rachel (11 yrs.old),
taken
from
a Fons and Porter magazine called "Funky Stars". This picture was taken
before
it was quilted and bound. My daughter has gone away for 2 weeks and I'm
in the
process of re-doing her room. I have the painter here as I type. This
is
going to be a surprise for her.....hope it all turns out the way I plan.

I'm sure it works for everyone else, noticing all the names on this
thread who are delighted with your quilt and colors and everything.
That's why I feel like I'm missing out. Wonder what is the problem?? I
am on Verizon DSL as my server, so is that the trouble? Or I have a
Mac?? That CAN'T be the problem.....

I'll just close my eyes and imagine a lovely quilt with stars.... maybe
some pinks and purples and happy colors. I'm sure your daughter will be
astounded at the whole project ... paint to quilt!!! Kind of like one
of those episodes of While You Were Out!!

Love this quilt!!!! I've been meaning to do this funky star one.....love
stars of any kind.
IF she doesn't like it, I'll come live there, blue is my fave colour and an
all-blue room w/ customized quilt is my idea of bliss.
good stuff mom!

Mebbe we should start a post showing off our houses? You know, just to
make us Brits jealous (this one in particular living in what you guys
would refer to as a dog kennel size-wise...)

sorry, IMHO you can never have too much blue! but white or yellow go
nicely with blue... I think I am taking your idea for my bedroom in the
new house, one wall dark, the others lighter but still blue!

Thanks Roberta, actually the diagonal border is little stars and it was bought

Her room is being painted in blues also, but will have to add some other colors
into the room, so it doesn't get sickening.

Gorgeous! I also love the borders -the 1st border in diagonal stripes, is
that pieced, or did you find fabric like that? The scrappy narrow border is
great too.

So what color are you painting the room? Remember to get a photo of her
mouth dropping open when she sees it -might be good blackmail material later
on :-)

just talk ragmop? I have never painted a wall and want to try it in the
new place.... some of those new funky 'designer colours' like the real
estate agents seem to call almost everything that is not white... )

O.K.....so I had to lay it down in my foyer and take a picture from the
stairs.
I tried to work around it, but it didn't work. You were supposed to
ignore that
part!

My living room is done with one wall a darker greyed purple than the other
3. I have this one wall that is taller and longer than the others and it
seems to bring them more into prospective with the larger area being darker.
