Default OT Flag Bunting Fabric

Does anyone know where I can buy flag bunting fabric and fusible thread. They
showed on T.V. yesterday how to sew your own outdoor flags. I thought I might
at some point give it a try. They didn't say where you could get the flag
bunting fabric. Does a place like Jo Anns carry it?

It's probably seasonal, and they just had a big sale to clear the shelves of
stuff like that this year.

Bunting? The term brings to my mind some of that red, white, and
blue stuff that is draped on porches and on platforms. Is that
what you want? Do you mean the nylon fabric that folks use for
banners of all sorts? If so, I think Jo Anns does carry it. I
might have seen it at WalMart too. Definitely at some of the on
line large fabric outlets too.

When I searched the web it came up with the red, ehite, and blue banners. want
the nylon all different color stuff. It was on HGTV yesterday and that is what
the demonstrator called it. It was in all different colors. She showed how to
make the holiday flags for outside. I just thought I might try it some day. It
looked easy.

Locally we have a store which primarily carries flags and bunting and
that. Bet you have something similar, after all someone has to supply
all that stuff for political gatherings. Maybe a local political
person can steer you to their resource?

I missed this post the first time around, so you might have found it by now.

I was looking for an outdoor nylon to make flags for long loads, and
couldn't find it locally. A search on the internet revealed there are lots
of online stores that sell both kite and banner fabric. (I googled "ripstop
nylon yard" for it.) The banner fabric is UV coated, so it should last
outside a long time.

I wound up ordering from
http://ecom.citystar.com/hang-em-high/ushop/index.cgi . NAYY, and my order
should be here middle of the week, knock on wood. They had lots and lots of
colors, and shipping was reasonable.

Good luck and have fun!

Thanks this is a great site and the price seems good. I saw on HGTV how to make
flags for outside your house and someday I want to try it. They have so many
colors also. I don't know when I will get to doing it but it looked like fun.

Thanks,
She

She, they carry the rip-stop nylon in JoAnn in Cranberry.
(it's back where the utility fabric and flat-fold upholstery is)
They also sell a fusible thread, though I don't know if the
nylon can take the high heat necessary to fuse the thread.
