Toga
I was at university when the film Animal House came out. At the time,
everyone had toga parties. I seem to recall that we made them out of sheets - a few pleats here, a tuck there and the costume was ready. I don't recall that they fell apart while we were wearing them - given that sometimes we travelled by public transport it could have been nasty and cold in an English winter. "Bob Simon" wrote in message ... I need to make a costume for an All Saints party. I want to look like a Buddhist monk or perhaps the Dali Lama. Does anyone know what the garment that they wear is called and how to make one? I've never made clothes before plus this only needs to last for six hours so simple is appropriate for many reasons. Even if you have no idea, please tell me how much fabric a 6' person would need to make a simple toga. |
