Default Done is Good

Finally finished a project I have been working on for a LONG time. I
made 24 6" blocks and placed them under the glass of an old window. The
window was old and beat up but I cleaned it up and painted it. The
whole thing measures about 1 1/2 foot high and about 4 foot long. I
hung it over the couch. I got the block patterns from a book called
'Teach Yourself Blocks From The Past' My only issue was that some of
the blocks turned out a bit undersized. Not sure if this was a problem
with the book's instructions or user's error. But no big deal, I am
happy with the results. I think I will add some kind of a garland
around the frame. Looks a bit bare. Click the link if you'd like to see
it.

What an inspired use for a window frame.
They look so good there.

Your postcards are amazing.

What an imaginative way to use an old window, Pam! It's really nice.
As for the garland, I don't really know -- the window itself doesn't
look bare, but I can't tell how it looks on the wall. G

That is soooo cool! I love it. I emailed the picture to my daughter who has
a smaller window hanging over her couch. Needless to say, she has put in an
order for 6 blocks to put in hers.

That is way cool. I already have 2 windows that are all painted
nice and pretty. I think Pam has motivated us with that great
idea.
