Default Recycling tips : )

I use the little cups that come with DH's mouthwash. They are straight
sided and just fit in the 2 inch high drawers that I have got. They are
useful for sorting beads and for pouring them back into bags.
I also use the polystyrene trays that food stuffs come in. After giving
them a good wash I line them with velvet. Make good beading trays.

I recycle all sorts of things to make dividers in my crafts drawers. Cookie
package inserts get washed out and slipped into the drawers.....I ask for
chocolate display boxes at the local supermarket (only upscale brands, haw
haw), stuff like that.

Oh, yeah -- I saved all the little cups that Kevin's pills were given in -- in
the hospital. They're great for pouring beads in and out of things, and for
organizing beads for a particular project. I wish I had tons of them.

I use the little cups that come with DH's mouthwash.

Film canisters make a nice place to store beads. Clear ones are
best...unless you can mark them well.

Hi everyone!
I was wondering if you all would share your
recycling tips - what do you recycle to make your
beads? Or, use to keep your supplies? Or, anything
else that you use recycling for : )

Thanks!

tic tac containers!!!

I am now hooked on the ones that you buy through the craft section of
Walmart, or through Whimbeads...but I save my tictac boxes, and use them!!!

BTW, if you buy the 2" containers from whimbeads (or through the bulkbuys)
or from Walmart, they fit perfectly in the floss box containers.

Sooz, have you seen them yet??? (I am assuming you have...)

I use old spice jars and vitamin bottles to put murrini and pixie dust, etc.
in.
I keep the frit that accumulates from lampworking and make "end of day"
marbles out of it. They usually aren't worth selling, but I like to keep
some in my pocket and if I am in line at a bank or fast food place and see a
bored kid, I will give them a marble to play with (I ask the parent if it is
okay first). Often the parent will freak out and take it away from the kid
because it is hand made and "not to be played with", then I will try and
sneak the kid another one and tell him "play with it all he wants to".

I don't understand the idea of *not* playing with something because it's
"good". Isn't the pleasure of having "good" things all in the using of
them???

I always tell the people who buy my beads that if they break it, it's my
fault bevause I didn't make it right in the first place.
