Default textile dying

I thought this might be about our recent discussion on suicide! Then I
looked at the subject line again....
textile dyeing.....might be better to spell it dyeing in order to not
concern people!
Try googling "fabric dyeing" and there will be many sites with info.

PHbbbbbbbbbbtttttttt!! I thought the exact same thing but would have been
pounced on if I said anything and just not feeling up to the battle today.
Thanks for being so brave. I have this really black sense of humor
(M.A.S.H. humor) sometimes and find hilarious what others find offensive. I
reckon I'm just twisted ....

When I was first on this group, back in the mid 90's, there was a
discussion entitled "Quilter dying in plastic bags and jelly jars".
Now, what an image that formed in my mind!

I hope I haven't told this story previously, but it's the absolute truth.
A member of my small group is a breast cancer survivor. A few years ago,
another member of our group had us all over to her house for the morning so
we could learn about dyeing fabric. My friend was still getting periodic
checkups at the clinic at that time. She had an early appointment that same
morning and told the nurse that she hoped it didn't take too long because
she was going to a "dyeing workshop". The nurse got all concerned about my
friend's mental outlook and started to council her about how well she was
doing and that her prognosis was very, very good. My friend broke out in a
laugh and said, "NO! I mean I going to go dye fabric!" I guess it got quite
a giggle at the clinic.

Reading signs and headlines oddly is one of my favorite giggles. I remember
being in a convenience store with my mom. We were at the checkout counter
when I saw a point-of-sale red octagonal sign with three lines, one word on
each line: STOP SMOKING GUM...

Default OT Now - was textile dying

I save a lot of "funnies" that the kids in school write. Many of them
are errors with pronoun references.

I made origami birds with my friends. When we were done I hung them
all from the ceiling.

Mrs. S. made cookies with the kids in the class but then she burnt
them in the oven.

Things like that. If it's a kid with a more mature sense of humor, I
explain it to him and ask him to illustrate both possible meanings.

Okay, you asked for it. Because this is such a sad sad day in a
horrible week of grief and loss, and I need to lighten up.

DRINK COCA COLA CIGARETTES, CHEW WRIGGLY'S SPEARMENT BEER
KEN-L-RATION DOGFOOD MAKES DRY COMPLEXIONS CLEAR
SIMONIZE YOUR BABY WITH A HERSHEY'S CANDY BAR
TEXACO'S THE BEAUTY CREAM THAT'S USED BY ALL THE STARS

SO TAKE YOUR NEXT VACATION IN A BRAND NEW FRIGIDAIRE
LEARN TO PLAY PIANO IN YOUR WINTER UNDERWEAR
DOCTORS SAY THAT BABIES SHOULD SMOKE BEFORE THEY'RE THREE
AND PEOPLE OVER 65 SHOULD BATHE IN LIPTON TEA!
