Car Repair Redux - The Final Chapter
I think you should mail a final copy of the bill, along with the original
estimate, back to the Wirestone folks. Serve 'em right. -- Barbara www.penguintrax.com eBay: pnguintrax Justbeadsenguintrax 0 /O\ "Kathy N-V" wrote in message .com... Car and brake pads were dropped off at reputable mechanic this morning. He's very busy, as always, as are all reputable mechanics. This evening, on our ice cream run, we spotted that the truck had been moved to the other side of the lot, so DH ran in to see if the brakes were finished. They were. Brake pads, adjust the calipers, put in warranty covered master cylinder cover and spin the rotors. (They were okay enough to spin) Car stops great. Total Cost $120.00 Not bad, and a far cry from the nearly $600 from the lying initial estimate at the chain repair place. For those who have asked, it rhymes with "Wirestone" Kathy N-V |
