Default Deerfield Fair New Hampshire

My entries for the Deerfield fair are clean, remounted and Labeled.
I have posted pictures to the deerfield fair album at

http://photos.yahoo.com/bobbieviorritto

I am entered in the needlework division in counted cross stitch,
samplers, and misc.(gift of peace is submitted as a petit point)
Will be going to the fair myself on Sunday next and will take lots of
pictures. I am really interested in the dog trials rather than the
general live stock show.

Still a very heavy work week at the shop and I am definitely out of my
fibro flare up. I have been managing by not cleaning house. BEG. ;-)
But I have to do some cooking today before DH disowns me.

Love in Stitches and good thoughts and prayers to Dulcie and the rest of
those in the hurricane path.

I have a lot of posts to catch up on since I've been away from here for
a while, but I just saw your BEATIFUL Christening gown, and Santa of the
Forest. Could you please tell me why your Santa pic is tacked down
that way? I'm thinking of making the switch from petit point to cross
stitch, and I do in fact have that chart already in my stash drawer.
But I've never seen a picture tacked down like that, and wondered if
this is something I'll have to do before starting?

It's gridded, Maureen. Every 10 fabric threads (I counted . . . the
picture was THAT good!).

What a gorgeous Hardanger emb. christening gown!! I must have missed
this post the first time around.

It's so nice to see needlework put to this type of use. That gown will
be around for decades. Is it finished?

Congrats on all the ribbons!!!!!!!!!!

Maureen,

I grid most of my large pictures, because sometimes it may be awhile Get
back to it. I am a Bridal gown wrestler (AKA bridal alterationist) and
often do very little stitching (for pleasure LOL) from April through
November. I go to part time work in the winter and make great progress
through my rotation. Gridding helps me reorientate myself to where I
left off. It also allows me to pick up mistakes sooner. HTH Bobbie V
