hello all!
here's some new pics on my spirit doll page---I'm going to have more up next
week too; I'm finishing more things up and getting pics processed every
day!

This is a fun way to utilize polymer clay faces

Sarajane,

will you ever offer the kits will the dolls already sewn and stuffed?

Just curious...the kits are gorgeous, but I don't have a sewing machine
and certainly don't want to hand-sew a doll!

Those are really neat. I know not everybody feels that way about sewing
;-).

You might try a message at one of my other groups, it's a Yahoo one
called wildartdolls. I think mostly they would prefer to sew, to make
it more individual.

PenguinTrax, I know I have seen some kits on ebay by sewdoll that had
everything all pre sewn up.

Thanks Ingrid,

I'v got premade forms that I love, but the fabrics in Sarajane's kits
are so wonderful and I like supporting my friends, too. ;-)

hi Barbara!
no, I wont be sewing the dolls myself---I figured out a long time ago thats
my least favorite part! I like the decorating and dressing part. There are
premade bodies out there, and I got several dozen a long time ago and dyed a
dozen or so...but they're solid colors. The tiedye is cooler, I think....
Thank you for asking!

Hi Ingrid!
I think thats the doll group I belong to at yahoo---I'll check. Thanks for
the suggestion.
The pattern is really very simple...its just that I've made hundreds of
cloth dolls and its like drawstring pants...I just don't want to do that as
"work" anymore!!!---only for prototypes, or now and then.

I should've known ;-).

My mom occasionally decides to sew things for sale but it never lasts.
Sewing really is a lot of work and underpaid. I'm going to be putting
up on my site some themed fabric assortments she put together one of
these days, the trouble is HTML is my equivilant to drawstring pants.

yes, thats the problem when you combine a low threshold for boredom with
production work---I used to buy white cotton mill-ends at 12cents per pound,
and then sew dozens of pairs of white drawstring pants and crop-tops, then
dye everything to go with painted tshirts and camisoles....the color part
was fun, the sewing got OLD fast!!!! I got out of that and into polymer clay
21 years ago, and am just in the last few years getting back into the
dyeing....dyed fabric and PC are the BEST jolts of color!!!!
